Daughter of the World
BY: YARETZY
I am a daughter of the world. I am patient, kind, and gentle. As I never wanted to be.
I am a daughter of the world. I am patient, kind, and gentle. As I never wanted to be. Allow me to lose my sanity, allow me to be all that is anger. For gentleness is a burden, a burden that I carry as if it were a hair on my head. I shall allow judgment if it means freedom. I’m tired, so very tired. Allow me to be no one, for I am tired of my attempts to be everyone. As are you, I know it, I see it on your face. Please give me up, I no longer wish to be a daughter of the world. Allow the loss of my sanity.
